Sunoculars - 16" x 20" - March 2014 - Watercolour
Have you ever tried photographing a fair-skinned, light-eyed child? No fun at all. Constantly squinting when facing the sun, and this was no different with Robin. When I started painting this picture of her that I took when she was much younger, striking a pose she naturally assumed, she confessed to me that her eyes were usually closed, hidden behind her make-shift sun visor. I was the one who had to squint when working from this photo, at first believing that both eyes were closed, but no... one eye was open.
Thanks for looking!

Fantastic Realistic Watercolors! ~ October SpecialOctober 12, 2015
Since I am attempting to teach myself watercolors, I decided as my first journal since coming back to DA in several years would be highlighting the wonderful traditional realistic watercolor artists here on DA! I have chosen paintings made with watercolor paints as well as watercolor pencils as long as the pencils were also made wet with a brush.
Show these artists your love by faving their pictures and leaving a comment.
