Faulty Facade - November 2012 - 19" x 28" - Watercolour

This is another painting of my co-worker Karen... and a challenge for myself. I recently had a friend tell me that there was no way that I could paint this in one week's time, well... of course I had to prove them wrong, right?! It was not only one of the busiest weeks for me, as I was just in a theatrical production that involved three evenings of performances, I have three kids, and not to mention, work full time - but guess what? I pulled it off! AND to top it off - I am REALLY happy with this piece!

Thanks for looking - and I'm sorry I have not been responding on more recent comments - I have had a very hectic past few months, but I sincerely appreciate all of your feedback - thank you sooo sooo much!

Wow, Amazing how you pulled it off!!

Love Karen's expression and the detail in her clothing, as well as the almost magical look you gave the dilapidated scenery. As somebody who's been overwhelmed with life's demands, I can comprehend the enormity of getting this image done in a week!!! Many congratulations to you!!!!
